I applied for my passport at USPS on 12/26. My travel will be on 1/10. I'm afraid that it won't come in time. Can I still come to this agency and get the passport done in 1day? Do I need to pay the application fee again or just pay extra $60?

Old passports have to be cancelled before a new passport gets issued unless you report them lost or stolen. If you try to get a new passport at the same time the agent will see an open or processing application! I recommend that you call them up and explain the situation. You will probably need to pay again, call them and ask all the questions you need to ask!
