When i payed for the e passport fee the interview date just popped up as Feb 4. Is that normal? It is very inconvenient pls help

The government shutdown does not affect the embassy. If you going for your interview you need to be at d embassy before 10 am so that you can be among the first because they start by 10. Meanwhile go along with your 2 passport photographs, and your passport to be renew. Thanks

Thank you very much for your answer. Please do also know if the government shutdown will affect there activities. I wouldn't want to fly from Houston just to find out I can renew my passport. No one seems to be responding to calls at the embassy.
