Okay, what you do (if this is about the embassy in DC) is to go to the embassy anytime from when your application is about a month old. Go with the printed receipt of paymnet, printed application form, two copies of passport photograph, photocopied data page of your expired passport, and cash of $25 or $30. As for the money, they will tell you it will be used to mail your passport to you in 60 days. In ny case, I payed them and still had to pick my passport up by myself after a month that it ought to have been sent to me
Just go to the Nigeria embassy exactly a month after you did your application online to do your biometrics after that you'll be given a date your you'll receive your passport in the mail.
Go to the centre you chose for biometrics. The system is no longer scheduling a date on the application.
