I have sent in my documents and it was received in the office on 12-06-2021 and I have not received a response. Please how long do it takes to get an answer? My ticket flight is for the date of 1-27-2022.

Hello Barbara, Did you submit your documents for get travel documents/certificate or passport? If it's for Travel certificate, it usually takes just 7 days. Please don't waste your precious time and energy calling them because they don't answer calls. Just drive down to the embassy and they will give to you.

I am living in California, and I went to the sub office in Los Angeles on 1-12-2021 and was told to call the DC # and try to get a hold of someone as the office don`t even have a direct line to communicte with anyone. I would just like to have my passport returned back to me.

My advice go there in person. Explain your situation, they are really helpful. I was pleased with my experience in the embassy.
