I'm watching the Amber Guyger trial & it sounds like this place has an issue with the doors. Did South Side Flats fix the issue with the doors & the door locks? Is South Side Flats still using those locks or did they change after the shooting?

That was Guyger's version of how she got in the apartment. The doors self close, slam shut and don't stay ajar. Neighbors heard Guyger banging on Botham's door stating, "let me in!" Guyger had made numerous noise complaints on Botham, including on the day she shot him dead.

I just read a story about an appeal to her conviction.

You know how when you stay in a hotel, how the doors are. They are weighted to slam behind you. But sometimes the door won't close hard enough on its own for the door to fully "click" into the door jam. You gotta do an extra push for it to click shut. When it clicks shut, you can't get in from the outside, it's locked even though you haven't thrown the dead bolt yet. That's how the doors are in these apartments. He mistakenly thought the door slammed shut, but it hadn't.
