1. Those of us who live in the US, UK or elswhere outside of Kenya, that have successfully created an account on the ecitizen website; how did you do it? 2. Do I make an appointment with the DC embassy or can I just walk in for passport renewal?

Do you still have your Kenyan mobile number an email address and a national I.D card? If you do then go to the ecitizen website and create an account it's just like a FB account but this is a forum for accessing GOK services.

@Samira Wado thank you for your response and help. @Stephen Kang'ethe I appreciate the specific details on which number to use. I was using my local US number but it appears they could not generate verification codes for cell numbers outside of Kenya. I now know what to do. Once again, I appreciate you all.

You have to go to the website and do the application online then at the end you will be required to make an appointment for your fingerprint. So that's when you'll need to go to the embassy

1. Just the normal way except you need to use a Kenyan phone number. 2. No appointment needed but you need to check on their website what day and time they allow applications.
