I suggest that you come to Dallas Life instead of the Bridge or any other shelter in Dallas. It's the only really safe place for a woman to stay. They have plenty of room for you. Since you have an income you will have to pay $12.00 a night to stay here. You can always rent a room but that's risky in Dallas or anywhere because you never know what people are doing these days. They could be in to criminal activity, doing drugs or might steal from you. That happened to me so I came to live at Dallas Life where I know that I am safe. Once you get in here, (intake) you can live here for up to 2 years and it doesn't have to be concurrently. Your first 5 days are free. You must have a valid picture ID and social security card to get in and they do run background checks because families with children live here. If you don't want to pay you'd be best off staying at the Bridge but it's hard to get a mat to sleep on at the Bridge if you are female. At Dallas Life you sleep in a bed.
