If you want to share a room since you are married, go to Dallas Life. I live at Dallas Life and I think it's the very best shelter to stay at in Dallas. Especially for married couples and families with children. Also, it's very much in your favor that your husband has a job. Salvation Army is a good place to stay but it doesn't compare to Dallas Life in my opinion. Dallas Life offers ammenities and help that other shelters do not offer. Honestly, Dallas Life IS A VERY GOOD SHELTER. Better than any other shelter. It's just wrong to bash Dallas Life and I know from living here that the people that leave here angry did something to deserve either getting kicked out or left in a huff because they dont want to adhere to the rules.

The reason I suggest DLF, its centrally located downtown & they give you five free days...and they accept children... most people in a desperate immediate homeless situation usually don't have a lot of money to work with... When you're desperate for a meal, a bed, and a shower it doesn't matter to me until I can do something different... I agree DLF is probably the worst shelter in Dallas, but when you're in a homeless situation, the amenities are not of importance! I definitely wouldn't stay at DLF as a first choice shelter... It depends on your circumstance...
