My dog is very old, and I’m afraid I will have to put him down. He has a lot of health problems, would ASPCA be able to help with this? I honestly have no idea how to even carry this out.

SPCA of Texas does offer this service for $75. We also offer cremation services. You can be present for end of life care. The city of Dallas Animal Services offers this service for free but you cannot be present.

They can but I used my vet. Which was known by my pet when it was his time to go down due to his health.

They can at the Mary Spencer & Myron Martin Clinics but most local vets can as well. It's always a good idea to address the possible issues and options with a vet familiar with your dog if at all possible and they will help you navigate the choices to ensure your beloved pet has the best quality of life.
