The best way to get a csmping spot is to get online and book it through their online portal as that is about the only efficient way.

Not quite sure what "stand by for a spit" means, but once you pay at the gate or show your season pass there are plenty of parking spot and then you can set up along the lake. There are also campgrounds and trails.
