Great park. Needs more trees for shade! The stream next to the park scared me. Didn't allow my dog close to it & I wish I could have. She was so hot! Meet Great dogs and owners here.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to fill in the mud pit that accumulates on the west side near the pavilion? add some mulch, or something to collect the water running downhill ? It's so messy for dogs that want o act like little piggies. Thanks

Yes it is on the our list of things to address. As soon as we can. Thank you. Jim park maintenance.

I have recently just purchased a Shiba inu mixed with Cocker Spaniel she is 4 months old. Would she be okay to let off the leash and run around free? Anywhere she can get squeeze out of? N would you let a new puppy new to its surroundings Run free?

I think she'd be fine at Wynetka Pond Dog Park. The only place she'd really be able to squeeze through goes into the second section of the dog park that is also fenced in. I'd say you should be fine since there's usually a good amount of pups to play with there too. There are a lot of puppies of varying breeds that come to this park. I'd say it's a good intro park for puppies because of size and the people are pretty helpful if you're trying to leave and your dog isn't ready. Haha Oh, just bring your own water during the colder months because the fountain is turned off if it might freeze.
