There is only a charge when there are events such as the Chinese Lantern Festival, otherwise the square is free.

Yes, normally the park is free. However, there is a charge to enter for special events. One such example is the Lantern festival which runs through May and June evenings.

If you are looking for Chinese Lantern event, yes there is fees. It was $18 for adults, $12 for youth, entry for children under 2 was free.

I believe free during daylight. $8 to get into lantern festival after dark.
