As marlo said, yes tickets are required for entry during the Chinese Lantern Festival. During the day though it is open to the public. The lantern festival runs from May 1st to June 30th.

There is no entry for tickets it's just walk in and enjoy the view it's only tickets for golf and tickets for the Chinese festival if it's open during that time that you go as a wonderful place for kids it's a wonderful part and the tickets for Merry Go Round if you choose to get on
Tickets are not required for entry in the park. But if there is any event like Chinese lantern festival then for rides they will have tickets.
