Can you camp overnight out there? Fireless of course. Do you need a permit and from whom?

You can camp no fire including propane stoves without a permit from forest service

Okay I will run by the Forest Service Office and find out. Just wasn't sure if it was BLM or not. It would be fun to hike the whole thing, from Hunter Lake Trail up to Hunter Lake and back out on the other side. But I would want to divide that into 2 morning hikes.

No

Nicklaus P | Oct 4, 2019

Just do it!

Matthew Hinrichs | Oct 4, 2019

Probably not but honestly if you get far enough up the mountain and cut off somewhere you could easily get away with it regardless. Just pick up your trash and don't do any fires.
