If we are transient and bicycling up the east coast greenway and our schedule can not be 'set in stone', will we find a patch of grass for our tent.

Skidaway Island State Park does allow tenting, but you normally need reservations. Call them and ask. That's your best bet.

You have to have reservations. The tent sites are gravel if I'm not mistaken. It's a 2 night minimum.
