Roughly 10 miles away and yes they have tent camping.
This is one of the most beautiful camprounds we have ever camped. Absolutely the nicest bath houses anywhere also. The sites will cover any kind of camping you want to do! It is an easy drive to downtown Savannah. There is a Trolley Tour of Savannah that will pick you up at the campgroun , give a narrated tour of Savannah and bring you back to the campground for a reasonable fee.
We are booked for April because its so close to Savannah. Really nice campground. Have a wonderful time.
Yes it's a great place to camp! Tent, 5th wheel, class C or Class A motor home and close to Savanna!
The drive to downtown is short. There is a parkway u can get on once u get off the island and goes straight downtown.
It is a great place for an RV or tent camping. Close to downtown. It has electric, water and cable hook ups and very large sites.
We have a motorhome but our neighbor had a pickup and had set up a tent to camp in. So yes tents with elec.are ok. It's about a 20 minute drive into downtown Savannah.
