LoL- I initially responded to Ron not Mark! Camping has been allowed on our beaches at Peter's Point and along American Beach up to just south of Burney Park! The rules have changed some and I do know you can park a self-contained RV (no hookups) in the parking areas! There are showers in the restroom and I would suggest asking the Security guards at the entrance to the beach at Peter's Point when you get in the area for further details. Seeing they control the beach, I'm unsure what areas on the beach camping is still allowed and if the parking lots are just for local residents or not?! There is also a RV park along A1A just to the north of Burney Park! Camping at Ft. Clinch state park or Talbot State Park to the south would be $uggested but camping in the lot for free is allowed!
I've seen Rvs in the lot overnight but there are no camping accommodations.
So I Can Camp at Burney Park For a Night? I Need to Skimboard Tomorrow. I'm Just Gunna Do It. I Will Be the Free Security for tonight
I'm quite sure there is no longer beach camping or overnight RV beach parking...this is very sad, bcuz I used to have a great time back when they allowed it...I'm sure a few spoiled it for the many, Amelia Island has turned into an old folks home, so keep it quiet if you go.
Yes, what A-A Ron said. It's literally at the beach and you can't sleep on the beach so an RV would be ideal
