Depends on how good a pilot you are because there is alot of trees.
No but the view the trails the lake it's so beautiful there always something fun to do there
There is a waterway, Brandywine Creek/River. Water can flow quickly after precipitation. Can look over the river on three different bridges. It is a great place to hike when starting or ending at Alapocas Run State Park.
There are tennis courts on Lovering Ave near Brandywine park and at Rockford Park up near the tower.
I find the place very easy walking. Mostly flat paths.
There are some picnic areas that have roofs. The one pavillion near the zoo is first come, first serve. Port-a-potties are under the Van Buren Street Bridge by the parking areas. The other areas require reservations.
There are no swimming signs posted due to the fact that after storms, sewer drainage can get into the water, with e coli. Best to swim at the pool or Delaware Beaches.
