Is the drop off location in the airport terminal, or is there a shuttle to terminal?

Sooo easy. Especially if you are a member (free to sign up) and do "skip the counter". Just cross street & pick whichever car (in class you reserved)

Right at the Airport. Just drive car to the Alamo section to the appropriate Terminal A or B, drop-off, walk out & into the airport. (When u rent, they will ask for yr incoming flight info so they will have yr car ready at either Terminal A or B where yr luggage will be picked up, so you pick up yr luggage & go right to the nearby rental area. Note. There are car rentals off site, so be sure to book the onsite location at
