I have a out of state license that expires later this year. It said on the sight I shouldn’t have to take the tests, just bring documentation and the out of state drivers license to get a Texas one.. did I read it right?

I believe that's all you need, if you go past 2 yrs you have to take it all over, the written & road test

Yes, I think that's all you need just make sure you have something to prove you have been living in the state at least one month I think
