Hello! Question about name change on license. I have a Texas license and had my name changed by Court Order. The website is very unclear on what documentation I need to bring. Does anyone know? I plan to bring the Petition, Order, and new SS ID.

Did you try online? I just did my address change online and got license delivered. You need to create account in their website.

I now know the answer! Bring your birth certificate, signed Court Order, new SSID, and current driver's license. Also, it's considered a "short" process, so you're more likely to be accepted as a walk-in! Be sure to get in line between 3-5am, though, or you won't get in.

Thank you Mr. Gupta; that was my first thought, but unfortunately, online they allow address changes but not name changes. 😔
