I just bought from Carmax for the second time consecutively. I put down $400 on a $15k car and my payments are $248 a month. Nissan Ultima with 15k miles on it.
Dont forget thw cost of the vehicle plays and important factor in monthly payments. Credit will not affect your monthly payments, only what lenders will be willing the give you. I bought from CarMax, put 500 down on a 13000 7yr old volkswagen with less than 58k miles. My payment were about 250, but dont forget as you pay on the car and your credit(reliability) increases, granted you dont have other factors weighing credit down. then you can turn around and refinance for lower payments
Yeah Angel Muniz is right if put big down can get low payment $500 would be like over $250 a month
