I would avoid CarMax. The vehicle I purchased had problems that should have been addressed prior to them offering it for sale. I was able to get things taken care of at their expense but I should not have had to find the problems in the first place. HAVE A RELIABLE MECHANIC CHECK THE VEHICLE. CAREFULLY WITHIN THE 30 PERIOD. Better yet, just AVOID them. It's still just a used car dealer. It's just a large used car dealer with a large inventory and nice website.

Changed my mind about this place...Financing a vehicle, they hit your credit EVERY TIME you choose a different vehicle. So if you apply for AUTO A, they run it through 4+ times and if you decide to try for AUTO B, they run your credit AGAIN 4+ TIMES. And they act surprised when when the SAME Financing company gives you an entirely DIFFERENT down payment amount even on the same vehicle when NO financial information has changed on the SAME DAY. VERY DECEPTIVE. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Yes they do, but it's a good idea to check Kelly Blue Book, so you have an idea of a reasonable value of your trade.
What Spencer said. I would just bring it in to CarMax to find out. It is free to do so and their is no pressure.
I just bought from Carmax for the second time consecutively. I put down $400 on a $15k car and my payments are $248 a month. Nissan Ultima with 15k miles on it.
