Other airports do to size i would recommend at least 2 hours but at KCI i would say at least a hour to be honest 45min might even do
We took advice and got here an hour before our flight and missed our flight. Please people... just be there two hours before like they ask.
45 minutes. KCI has the highest ratio of TSA agents to flyers in the country. This is due to the de-centralized design that allows the agents to cover only a few gates. The deployed agents are usually handling a single plane load of travelers at a time. Eat at a decent place in that hour and 15 minutes you save!

You should check-in 24 hours in advance. You should arrive at the airport about an hour before.
Give yourself 2 hrs before departure to get to the airport and get checked in. Going through security takes 10 minutes or so.

We checked in 2 hours before but we were leaving at Christmas time we got through TSA with no problems probably could have got there an hour before
