Edit: No, I did not rub it off with the q-tip. I was given a bag with 6 q-tips and Vaseline. She said to apply it before bed and as needed for itching and not to wear makeup for the first week. So I didn't wear makeup or use any soaps near my eyes for the first week, I did apply Vaseline to it the first and second day by putting a good amount on the Q-tip and swiping it across (not rubbing back and forth repeatedly!!!) but it didn't itch so I didn't continue to use it. It was however scabbed and each morning I noticed little bits coming off. She did reach out to me afterwards and offer to do it again but after 2 failed attempts and completely uneven lines I am not willing to go back and try again there. The "painless" procedure did not work as described at all. Once she started adding color it was more numb but the amount of scratching with both the emery board thing and then the tool she adds color with hurt. She said she had to keep scratching deeper to get the numbing cream to work well enough. it was over an hour of scratching then applying cream repeatedly before it started working. Now I have no choice but to apply liner each morning because my eyes are so uneven. The right eye is completely worn off and the left looks like it is drooping because its so far below where it should be on the bottom and the top trails off upward away from the lashes. Looks like a child drew it on with a pen. 0 accountability on her part. I haven't went anywhere to have it corrected yet because I am honestly afraid to go through another nightmare like this. End edit This has been a terrible experience and I'm so upset that I ever did it. I didn't rush to the decision to get permanent makeup and I looked around for a few months before I decided on where to go. I spoke with her and explained exactly what I wanted and asked if that was possible she said it was and went on about her double board certifications and awards and I was convinced that even though she was nearly double the cost of other places she would give the best results. The office is small and very cluttered. It took a very long time for the topical anesthetic to work and it was painful because she continued to scratch and poke my eyelids to the point that I had scabs afterwards from it (not just from the liner application). Upon finishing my first appointment it was visibly uneven and way further out than we had talked about on one eye and she assured me it was just some swelling and would look fine in a few hours. It did not! Less than a week later one eye had completely faded off and the other was just blotchy. She said that was an opaque healing faze and the color would come back. It didn't. I had the second appointment the following month (she forgot and was 40 min late) and was very anxious to fix this terrible job. It went smoother knowing what to expect and as it was finished I thought it actually looked great. I left feeling much better about it. I followed all the aftercare instructions. Slept with the gel mask and even bought special pillows to assure I would stay sleeping on my back as she told me I must have slept on it and caused it to rub off. I didn't wash my eyes or use makeup for the first week. Just kept it moist with the Vaseline and qtips she gave me but I noticed it again coming off more each day. Now I am over a month out from my appointment my right eye has very little color to it and my left eye is blotchy and uneven. My original request was to have it tattooed right on the waterline. I didn't get at all what I asked for and now I can't leave without putting makeup on every day (which was what I was trying to avoid) because it looks so terrible and uneven. Please take this as a warning ⚠️ and do not make the same mistake I did. After this process was over I realized all the photos and videos were right as the people finished the session. No pictures of it healed months later. So when you are shopping around please go somewhere where you can see long term results!

Questions & Answers

I looked up microblading schools and I want to apply and join your school but how ? Do I have to contact her personally ?

Someone comes in to Kansas City advertises for microblading it's generally a one-day class and you're paying $4,000. I've had people tell me they've attended and they didn't even get to work on one person. They were told to go to YouTube. Eyebrows turn gray within three to four months with everyone if they're doing a microblading. If they're just putting color in and there's and go deeper than miicroblading. This is Marcia Renner, I'm the owner of Faces Permanent Makeup. 2003 the microblading was quite popular EXCEPT the eyebrows turned GRAY within 3-4 months. Don't waste your money if you want to talk further you can call me at 913-832-8884. I'm a nurse I have a bachelor degree and double board certified which is a must. You have to continue to learn technique and learn colors. Joining spcp for the aam this is where you get your continuing education training.
