The fee quoted of $50 isn’t accurate. It may be the correct fee for that transaction. The Department Of Motor Vehicle is a very complicated system with more variables then you could ever imagine. The Department Of Motor Vehicle collects fees and information for a lot of different government systems/agencies. If you make any error or don’t understand exactly what you are doing you can realistically pay a fortune in fees that aren’t necessary and/or cause yourself a lot more work on unnecessary tasks. We see every day tons of transactions that have cost people lots of money and lots of time and effort because of a simple mistakes like an incorrectly answered question on an application that was miss understood. Understand the when you go to the Department Of Motor Vehicle there job is not to advise, suggest or recommend anything to you.
