You cant unless they tell you. HIPAA applies. If you call you will have to know the individuals patient ID to talk to them
Yes, you can not call or visit unless the pt has given permission for you too. If they were in jail then you maybe able to call there & find out if they did transfer them to ASH. Otherwise they will have to call you or if you know the pt phn number to the unit & you can call that number anytime because only pt's use and answer those phones
