For an updated appraisal- you need to come into the store and let them take a look at your jewelry so they can verify it with your purchase history/account, & drop the jewelry off for a cleaning so they can inspect everything. It varies store to store, but typically I know the appraisal will be mailed to you in 2-3 weeks. You pick the jewelry up same day. No appt, no cost.
No, you do not need an appointment to go back. You can just walk in.
