We have gone to Kay Jewelers for years. Last March, my wife took our wedding ring to have a prong fixed. The repair center broke the diamond and they agreed to replace it but claimed the entire head needed to be replaced. Reluctantly, we agreed both because of the additional money but also because it has been fine for 41 years. The fixed it but we weren’t happy - both because of the quality of the stone and the way it was set (prongs sticking up). We complained but accepted it. A little over a year later -!the whole head disappeared and Kay said it’s not their issue. 41 years - they fix it - it falls apart. Stay away from this company. They are awful.

If I could give 0 stars I would!! Went to send my engagement ring out for a repair (knocked out diamond) and they lost my ring in transit using FedEx. Manager Brenda acted like it was no big deal since these things happen and they were "replacing" the same ring. she was rude and inconsiderate can't believe they have a "manager" who acts like that! Shady business by not being 100% honest with clients and finding out they were calling kay jewlers in carolina place mall to find my ring size to send it off to get the replacement resized without me seeing the ring first. After seeing the ring and speaking to the district manager William he apologized and said they require signatures from FedEx but didn't receive a signature that day for the delivery? Delivery was on Tuesday but i didn't recieve a phone call until Thursday telling me that my ring was lost in transit.. so it took them 3 days to inform me about my ring! Later that day I called and spoke to William again to get the tracking number to file a complaint with FedEx with understanding he couldn't release that information he then chose to tell me the truth that the shipment arrived at the store but the box was empty. Went to pick up the replacement ring today and Brenda still had her chip on her shoulder from the second I walked through the door. Over heard her say its the girl who's ring was lost in transit but then greeted me with a empty stare. Kay jewlers really needs to start looking into their employees more and consider not using FedEx as apparently 10 others peoples stuff were stolen in that same shipment. Don't bother going to this location or dealing with its terrible, dishonest and shady staff.

They are stuck in the arch ages, communist era and tried to tell me I had to wear a mask to be in their store. I was embarrassed for them. It’s never acceptable. They did however still help me without one. But should never be asked of someone. Just strange.
