I took my nephew to Southport Rd. about a week ago and we were there before they opened. If you get there as soon as they do open they might see you IF there is someone to give you the test. The instructors rotate their locations. Luckily for us that day there was someone there BUT she only took two people out for the test. I guess she had to go to another location. The other people in line were told to make an appointment. It's aggravating I know, I would go ahead and make an appointment just in case. You can cancel it anytime if you do get seen. I also kept checking the website, people cancel all the time. Good luck!
No appointment. Walk in to the Southport Rd. location. They are not as busy as Fairforest; but try to get there before 3:30. Both locations frown on late arrivals.
