My son has a dog he can't care for anymore. Does the aspca pick up animals. My son is in a wheelchair and can't travel on public transportation with the dog?

We have passed Rocky (my dog) to a friend who kept him for 6 years, the friend moved to a non pet friendly place. So we took the dog back but I have a cat already. My son took the dog but they are not getting along with the two dogs he already has.

Yes they do, but have you tried to give the dog to a friend or family member 1st, because if the dog is not adopted in a certain amount of time it gets put to sleep

Not that I'm aware of, but I would call them and ask. Also I would call a few rescue groups as well. Just Google dog rescue near me and start calling. Someone somewhere will help you. I think there needs to be an organization that helps service animals with vet care etc.
