Effective 2018, adult admission to The Met Cloisters is $25. However, residents of NY, NJ and CT can still use the "pay what you wish" option.
We visited from Canada and we bought a package deal that included tickets to the Met, which the Cloisters are a part of.
There are Met tickets that include the Cloisters entrance
If you are not from New York the new policy is $ 20 with senior discount available.
as noted you can donate whatever you wish....probably $10 a head would be reasonable...
