Only one gallery is open because of installation. But still the portrait of Adele Bloch-bauer by Klimt is on display, and it is pay-what-you-wish, so worth it

Admission to the museum is pay-what-you-wish through October 23, 2017. Regular admimission prices will resume beginning October 26: - General Admission $20 - Senior Admission (65 and older) $15 - Student/Educator Admission (valid identification required) $10 - Free admission is offered on the First Friday of every month from 6 to 8 p.m. - Children under 12 are not admitted and children aged 12-16 must be accompanied by an adult
Yes, Woman in Gold is in Neue Gallery now.
From what I can tell, online reservation is only avail for premium admission which will cost an extra $10.
yes it's on the second floor along with some other great works of Klimt
Most definitely. Woman in gold is on the second floor. 1 billion dollars is it's approximate worth. I cannot speak Spanish
Yes, and she looks magnificent, with lighting and a wall to herself.

Yes
I do not know. I have not tried
it really depends on your pace, but the 2nd floor was the only exhibit open when I went, 3rd floor was being updated. and it was very brief, maybe a total of 40 pieces, in two large rooms.
There are many works by Schiele on display. Just dont waste your time on the cafe.
Seniors, students, and disabled, price is $16 (General administration is $25). Note from Neue Galerie: "On the First Friday of every month, the museum is open late and offers free admission from 4 to 7 p.m. Admission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Children under 12 are not admitted during First Fridays." Hope this is helpful.
Yes, it is beautiful but although it is the most expensive painting in the world, I liked the kiss that is in Vienna.
Yes - the first Fridays of each month are "pay what you want" during the extended hours of 5 to 8 pm.
No. The big Klimt is Lady in Gold. The Kiss is in Madrid at the Belvedere.

East 86th
Closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Open other days 11am to 6pm Open free of charge from 6pm to 9pm on the first Friday of the month Happy New Year!
Klimt on the first flor is a permanent exebition
No, but it is worth the money
Free every first Friday of every month after 6p.m. I believe.
Admission is $ 22, over 65s $ 16 and students $ 12 (with student ID). Tuesday and Wednesday closed. The Golden Lady is the main piece, but there are other Klimt oblas. It is a small museum but it has very valuable works. I recommend the Austrian cafeteria on the ground floor.
like Joel said call ahead there is a elevator but you will have to walk up a couple more steps....its New York there has to be another way
yes wide open no pics or so they say AMAZING ART!!
No, but the museum is worth seeing especially the painting The Golden Lady
It's always there. On the second floor, on your right, when you walk into the main exhibition hall.
... and then keep walking, cross Park Ave, Madison and get on 5th... the corner building.
There is a small collection of his paintings in Neue by Klimt, the most popular painting is The Women in Gold made popular by the movie of the same name.
The first friday of every month the museum is free.
There is a paid parking garage across from the entrance on 86th street. I am unfamiliar with the cost.
I believe it is closed. The ground level cafeteria may be open
The portrait of Adele Block - Bauer is part of the permanent collection. It is one of Klimt's most famous works.
Actually, they encourage visitors to leave at 5:45pm. Liquids are served in the cafe but not at all welcome in the building, not even in checked bags.
