Camping on the Beach: Camping is allowed on beaches within the unincorporated areas of Nassau County A permit is NOT required to camp on the beach Vehicles are not allowed to remain in County-owned Beach Front Parks between 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. (The new time of 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. was effective July 26, 2018; the new ordinance, 2018-22, was approved by the Board on July 9, 2018. ) Vehicles may be parked directly on the beach in designated beach driving areas (NOTE: out of County tags must purchase a beach driving permit.) No vehicles or horses are allowed on the dunes or within designated swimming areas Vehicular speed must not exceed 10mph and must not be operated in a reckless manner Dogs must be under leash at all times.

There are places where no dogs are allowed. Bring extra leashes and attach poop bags to your dogs collar or leash, so you always have them. Please drop full poop bags in one of the hundreds of trash cans provided on tbe island. Johnny Bokram
Absolutely dogs are allowed on a leash except certain spots especially towards Nassau Sound they can run freely

Signs may say no pets but people bring their pets all the time. There is also a woman who owns horses and does midnight rides here.
