They should be left where they are. If collected then they need to be cataloged yearly. They have enough in collections to tell the story
The beach was used as a practice site for storming Normandy in WWII. Those shells are now considered cultural respurces and protected
I think so but I haven't been so I'm not sure how great it is.(sorry) look forward to hearing more about it
No, you can not drive down to the beach however there are 2 paths you can take once parking. I recommend going to the left versus keeping straight if you want to go directly down to the beach. The walk is about 10 minutes.
it's a hard place to swim at! don't see anybody swimming whenever I go 💯😩🎣🪁🎣
Porta potties, or ocean lol...breathtaking place
Your best bet for a memorable sun session is to get up early & watch the sunRISE from main beach, on Fernandina beach, which is a few miles north. Epic sunrises!
You can swim, not ideal in my opinion, water is generally brownish from near by rivers, i absolutely like going there, but more for the besch and fallen trees than swimming. Also the beach is all but absent during higher high tides
Not specifically....and I don't think it's allowed. I would suggest that the fire risk is too great. There are other beaches nearby where it would probably be more appropriate.
