You can swim, not ideal in my opinion, water is generally brownish from near by rivers, i absolutely like going there, but more for the besch and fallen trees than swimming. Also the beach is all but absent during higher high tides

There are many signs that say No Swimming. It is one of the roughest shores in FL. Being clear (which it isnt) is not of importance. Not swimming is crucial. Not only is the water extremely rough and unpredictable at all times but the driftwood is everywhere. It is part of the park and cannot be removed meaning that dead trees and branches are everywhere in the water and on the shores. One of my favorite parks. You'll get tons of great pics and see a lot of wild life. Please just be safe. Even climbing the trees xouls ruin your weekend😀

There are some places to swim, and the water can vary depending on wind, storms, etc. But usually it's pretty clear.
