I am Colombian, nationalized Spanish but 2 years ago my passport and ID expired. I am living in NY, I already have my records but in the requirements they ask me for a valid passport, can I do this process with my expired passport, or how do I do it?

The passport renew it at the consulate, you cannot do any paperwork with the expired passport, and the ID can only be renewed in Spain, here you can hardly use it, luckily
