When the weather is good, they're usually open. Did you know you can get into the forest there as well? So, if you have a park pass, tell the person at the gate, show you pass, and they'll direct you to the forest road.. without paying to get in the State park... the forest is free camping and lots of good trails.

I think they leave at 6:00 PM. But you can go in and catch up on payment the next day.
