I mean it is a historical building. By Charlotte standards it's very old. It's easy to create stories/rumors when you have so much history and events around the building to embellish the story.
No encounters for me, but one person's experience is hardly definitive!
It was fine when we stayed. Take a chance, they staff are lovely, food great I'd say it worth the risk. We had a great time.
I'm still not a believer after my stay😊
They say its haunted but i would think its just another marketing gimmick
