For visiting in June, how early should we get to Independence Visitor Center for tickets for Independence Hall tours if we want to be near the front of the queue when the visitor center opens? Thanks.

It depends on when exactly you plan to visit in June. Around the Memorial Day weekend at the beginning of the month, we are very busy. This is also true toward the end of the month, when July 4th week festivities begin to ramp up. In mid-month, when children are still in school, weekdays are not too busy. At the busiest periods, it is best to make an advance reservation online for a $1 fee to guarantee you will be able to tour on your selected day. During other times, arriving just prior to when our doors open at 8:30 a.m. should be good.

Buy your tickets online as soon as possible. Large groups tend to buy out large blocks of tickets months in advance.
