Hi, Nancy. There is convenient, onsite parking available at the AutoPark at Independence Mall, a 24-hour fully enclosed and secure parking garage operated by the Philadelphia Parking Authority, and located underneath the Independence Visitor Center.
No, for best results, check out the "owner" of said Visitor's Center response posted 25 minutes ago, above.
Hi, Joanne. We are very sorry to hear about your experience. We are dedicated to providing a friendly welcome to every person who starts their visit with us, and employ Visitor Services staff who are fluent in eleven languages in an effort to be inclusive and speak with as many visitors as possible in their own language. If you were able to provide a more specific description, date, or name, we could investigate this concern further. However, there is no one fitting your description who currently works here.
You can see around without the tour
Not sure but google says it opens at 10am.
All printed guidance materials and pamphalets are available in the visitor centre.
There is a parking garage at 525 Arch Street that you can park in. $23 for the day.
The Wyndham hotel 4th Arch Street Don't forget to visit the US Mint it is Free
Yes, you can enter the Visitor Center directly from the AutoPark at Independence Mall by using the elevators or stairway on the 6th St. side of the garage. There is directional signage indicating "Exit toward 6th St." as well as "Independence Visitor Center" that you can follow. Thanks!
It is 6'6", i just happened to be walking by and checked with security to verify. There are some outdoor lots up near 8th and walnut that may be better for you.
Bus parking on Front St.
There are many hotels close by. It depends on what your price range is. I would Google the zip code for the hotel you are looking for
Thank you for your inquiry. Visitors with advance reservations to tour Independence Hall at 9 a.m. should pick up their tickets when the Independence Visitor Center opens at 8:30 a.m.
It depends on when exactly you plan to visit in June. Around the Memorial Day weekend at the beginning of the month, we are very busy. This is also true toward the end of the month, when July 4th week festivities begin to ramp up. In mid-month, when children are still in school, weekdays are not too busy. At the busiest periods, it is best to make an advance reservation online for a $1 fee to guarantee you will be able to tour on your selected day. During other times, arriving just prior to when our doors open at 8:30 a.m. should be good.
Turn on google maps will give you the best route to go
It is 4/half hour in the parking lot. The street is not free unless You have authorized licence.
Bleacher seat tickets were $20.00 for the 2018 parade, but that price is subject to change.
The 2018 Mummers Parade pricing was: $20 for bleacher seats; $25 for seating at the morning Fancy Brigade show; and $23 for seating at the 5 p.m. Fancy Brigade show.
As the official visitor center for Greater Philadelphia, the Independence Visitor Center has been the exclusive location to purchase tickets for the Mummers Parade, a long-standing tradition of New Year’s Day in Philadelphia. Tickets usually become available for purchase in early Fall.
Not sure what you're referring to but Old City is very safe, especially if you act appropriately (don't leave valuables in sight, lock car, pay attention to surroundings and traffic) as with any other area. It's a well trafficked area with a lot of people, police, lighting etc
