Years ago Surewest did offer mobile service in the Sacramento area. In 2008 they sold their mobile infrastructure to Verizon. Several years later Consolidated Communications acquired Surewest. According to their website Consolidated Communications does not currently offer mobile phone service.
That's what you ask the representative when you sign up for their service. They have the nicest staff, they are very patient to explain everything step by step; just ask them.
