I've only been there late in the season but I know there are tent sites.

Yes, they have nice spots for tents right on the lake.
This KOA was also one of my 7 camping stops along 95 to Fla. I know they do have a tent section. There were 3 families camped with tents and all. Very Nice place, and friendly staff!
Tents are allowed! When I stayed there I had a tent. If I'm not mistaken you state you have a tent, so you get a small space with a square of sand to put your tent.
I saw some tents set up when i was there last fall.
