Very well set up and a great staff. I've had no issues except it's hot as can be in summer. The road coming in could use some attention. After some rains a 4 wheel drive or a tracked vehicle comes to mind. Yeah, I exaggerated a bit but it's a rough road. Needs a little TLC in a few spots.

Great range! Justin really went the extra mile, making it an excellent experience.
Zimmyboy 206
I went here to sight in one of my rifles and just spend some time putting rounds downrange. I had a great time, as it was one of the best ranges locally. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely be going back.

GA Fishing or Hunting license required to use (no extra charge or time constraint). Very kind and helpful staff. One 50 and 100 yard range with rifle stands and spotter scopes available for use.

You will need you liscense as in WMA PERMIT or hunting and fishing liscense Every time you sign in
Bernard, there is no age limit for the range, If they are under 16 years of age they must be accompanied by an adult.
It's open and Very nicely done. Support DNR by staying current on your licenses.
Yes
Okay just went on 4/6/2019 and there still closed until probably May 1st, 2019. Small chance of 4/19/2019 but unlikely due to the amount of work left to finish. But the place looks great and is going to be worth the wait, but I'm not going to spoil the surprise for those who haven't seen the renovations! Fingers crossed or off the trigger.
Prone is allowed after informing the Range officer. The prone lane shared space with the shotgun patterning space.
If it is made out of polymer yes. Steel is currently not allowed. This will change in the future. I have seen shooters bring 2in circle sticker targets and practice on those.
Donate some cash for the available targets or just ask and they'll give you one but don't abuse it
Michael, yes you may have ear plugs in to suffice that requirement.
Mike, we provide the cardboard and stands, you provide target, firearm, ammo, eye and ear protection. We do have water on hand but no vending machines. Stop at the Gas station for drinks and snacks.
Hi Mike! Negative. The only requirement to be on the Richmond Hill WMA and the firing line is to have in your possession either one of the following, Georgia hunting license, fishing license or Lands Pass. Additionally, you must provide your own weapon, ammo, eye/ear protection and paper target. Additional information including all Range Rules can be found here: https://georgiawildlife.com/richmond-hill-shooting-range We look forward to seeing you!
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we do not allow any steel targets on our ranges.
You must have a georgia GORP( georgia outdoor recreation pass )pass. Basic hunting abd fishing license come with it.
The range does allow shotguns, Just speak to an RSO and they will notify you what lane you have to be in.
Hello Chuck, To be able to access the range all you need is a valid state of GA Hunting or Fishing License. Anyone 16 years or older must possess one in order to access. You will need to bring your Firearm, ammunition, paper targets, as well as ear and eye protection.
Hello David, You can shoot buckshot at the range. Notify the Range Officer and they will tell you which lane to shoot in.
As long as you have a valid GA hunting or fishing license you can shoot here. No extra fee. Its really a good deal.
17 South does have matches twice a month. All you have to do is paid $25 at Practice Score website and/or go help them set up the stages for the match and you will be only be paying $15.
Yes, 1pm-7pm
Yes, you will need a Georgia license to Fish or Hunt. A Georgia Lands Pass will work as well. For more information on purchasing a lincense plase visit our website. Thanks! https://georgiawildlife.com/licenses-permits-passes

We are still working on finishing up. We are hoping to be able to open before June 1st. The opening date will be posted here as soon as an opening date is set in stone. Thank you for your patience and we finish renovations.
The range is not open yet. We are hoping to have it open before June 1st. I will let everyone know as soon as we have a opending date set in stone. Thanks!
No
They are splitting the firing range from just one range, to a handgun side AND a longe gun side. I can't wait for them to open again.
Yes now the date for reopening is May, we went there 4/6 and talked to one of the range officer's. May 1, 2019 should be the final change but it looks great
Free with fishing or hunting license, or a GA land pass. Each member of the group must have their own license.
Not soon enough lol. Sit says march on the website
Yes there's a sign in and you have to have a fishing license or a hunting license to go shooting there but they're closed down now until January they're revamping the shooting range making a separate pistol range and one for a long rifle hope this helps
Its to the right on the other side of the parking lot. Away from fire arms when you pull in.
Yes, talk to the tange officials.
Each person that wants to shoot must have either a hunting or fishing license. I paid $18 for an annual fishing license at Walmart and that gets you unlimited access to the range for the year. You cannot access the range without one of the licenses.
I’ve done drills but Mr Jim (range safety officer) very courteous gentleman, only allows 2 shot rapid fire. Rapid mag changes by dropping the empty and reaching for mag holdster is totally allowed. You can do kneel. No 3 round rápid fire allowed.
Closed on Mondays. Modified times sat and sun. See website
