Yes, it opened May 27th in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. I am not an Avatar fan but this area can be enjoyed by everyone, even if you've never seen the movie or experienced avatar blues.

No, Avatar is in the Animal Kingdom Park. Advice you to get fast pass. Or expecting wait to be at least 4 hours. We were there at 830a and finished our ride at 1230p. Park was opened at 8a. But our bus didn't get us there before open
