Should you be looking for a restroom, there is surely one near the Chelsea-end of the line, free of charge.
It’s not one way, you can start and finish where you like. Starting from the Vessel and ending at Chelsea market for food is lovely.
IT JUST DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU'RE COMING FROM, 34TH STREET IS THE END OF THE HIGHLINE AND THE BEGINNING STARTS BY THE WHITNEY MUSEUM, WHICH IS 3 BLOCKS PAST 14TH STREET AND 10TH AVE
You can start from either end or even join part way along from one of the 3 or 4 access points along the walk. BTW it is a fabulous Sunday morning walk!
Yes you can start where there are entrances,so start where ever you like.
When i went threw it rher were large groups that block the entire footpath n they all laugh at you when u ask them 2 move....was ready to pinch 1 of them in the face for being disrespectful as well as abusive
Excellent question, Jennifer! You can start at either end, but I highly recommend starting at the end where the High Line l and Hudson Yards converge. You can start at the Vessel next door and blend right into the High Line from there. As you stroll you will get an excellent perspective of the city skyline. I highly recommend lunch or dinner at Chelsea Market after your High Line stroll as the eateries there are top notch. Enjoy your visit and I’m glad to help!
Think of it as side walk, there’s no start to finish and there’s multiple entries, you could always start at one entry point (it will let you know where you entered) walk to the closest end and walk back. Google maps does a good job of taking you to a staring point close to the star line :)
