Too hot and humid in the summer to walk...no water fountains along the long trail, at the end is when your see some souviors shops.
It's still very pretty in December and January. The people that designed the plantings made sure that they selected plants that look interesting even in the winter.
Much better in the spring or summer, but it runs beside many cool shops, galleries, museums, etc. So you can have a good time, but all the plants will be dead so it won't be as beautiful. :(
Bobby Molina’s post is incorrect. There are water fountains on the HighLine. They are clean and in good working order.
