Thank you for contacting Wavecrest Management. There is never a fee to receive an application for our affordable housing units. Based on the information provided on your application, if you are eligible for the building you applied to then, you will be asked to attend an interview. At the interview, more documentation is needed to substantiate the information provided on the initial application. This includes, but is not limited to proof of income, proof of address, etc. At this time we also request a check or money order for the Credit History and Criminal Background Check. Shortly thereafter, we process the documentation to prove eligibility. If after doing so, the applicant still qualifies for the apartment then the Credit History and Criminal Background Check is done. If an applicant is not eligible after processing their documentation, there is no need to run the Credit History and Criminal Check; therefore, the check or money order will be returned to the applicant.
I paid it and its worth it...first time I live in mount Vernon, Westchester County from Queens and I'm close of everything in sight...by car it's 20 minutes away...also I have section 8
