Depending on how close you want to get to the tree... I went in the evening and there was a very small line to get up close... u can still see the tree and all the ornaments from 6th Ave...
You can purchase your ticket online and choose the time you want to go at...
I'm from the city. So I just went in the morning. Go in the morning it's has a barricade around it. First time in ever. If you get their somebody will help you to get a pass. I tried to get the pass. But I went like I would. And got through. Just show up. In the morning so then it will work out in time for the lights to go on. You will have a pass then. Their are people that will guide you. Their is no price on it. Just so everyone respects the social distancing. Their all over the both ends to enter. Photographer and all are around. The ice skating rink is open as well. I went by myself. So it was easier.
You don't have to get tickets. You can walk there and get close but there's restrictions due to CoVid!!💕
