Is this a “no kill” shelter? I have two kittens that have made themselves home on my back porch and want to bring them to a no kill shelter.

They are not "no kill" but they do not routinely euthanize.

I would say no. I could be wrong but the last time we looked at adopting a pet they would not tell me what happened to the pet that we didn't choose.

LCAS will only use humane euthanasia in very extreme cases and use the best judgement just like a Veterinarian office would. I say this with certainty because I've lived here since 1994 and have gotten many animals from them from childhood to my children! Unfortunately had to take some to them that I found. They would find a home for your kittens unless they had failure to thrive or other problems that wouldn't be beneficial or fair to them as animals! My own opinion-

Thanks to our supportive community who ensures LCAS has resources through tax funding, adoptions and donations, humane euthanasia is only a possibility when all other avenues (training, medical, rescue, foster, etc...) are exhausted. Because of this, humane euthanasia is only used in cases of extreme medical or behavioral suffering. Feel free to give us a call to discuss options for the two kittens. We can also share local resources with you that may be able to help spay/neuter the cats in your area in order to prevent more unplanned kittens.

No, it is not. Not many county run shelters are. I dont know where you are, but there is a no kill shelter on rt 340, just north of Berryville, across the state line.
